Maui and the sun

One day Maui and his Brothers were in a boat in the water and something showed up. it looked like a circle. Maui and his brothers pulled the sun back Maui said "if you promise to move slowly I will let you go." Maui and his Brothers could go fishing to get some food for dinner because the day were langer.

Matariki

Matariki is when the Maori celebrate new year and the stars gos away in April come back at the end of may and when the stars come back it going to be new year. The maori people and everyone who want to fly kites and plant food or go and work on the farm to get some food for the cows and pigs. They tell some stories too.
